Overview
A Larger-Capacity Homeowner Wood Chipper for Bigger Branch Cleanup
The Mighty Mac® WC575E is the largest-capacity wood chipper in our homeowner lineup. It is built for property owners who need more chipping capacity for larger branches, older trees, storm cleanup, wooded lots, and heavier seasonal branch piles.
With a 5-3/4″ chipping capacity, electric start, a Briggs & Stratton XR2100 Professional Series engine, and a heavy flywheel with a D2 heat-treated tool steel chipping knife, the WC575E is designed to turn branch piles into usable wood chips quickly and efficiently.
The larger capacity is especially helpful for crooked, forked, and V-shaped branches that can require extra trimming before feeding into smaller machines. If the WC475 feels a little too small for the material on your property, the WC575E gives you more capacity while staying in the homeowner wood chipper line.
Best For
- Homeowners and property owners with larger branch cleanup needs
- Larger properties, wooded lots, acreage, and older trees
- Storm cleanup, pruning, limb removal, and heavier seasonal branch piles
- Crooked, forked, or V-shaped branches that require too much trimming for smaller machines
- Buyers who want more capacity than the WC475 while staying with a homeowner wood chipper
- Property owners who want electric start and yard-tow mobility
What It Does
- Chips branches and woody material up to 5-3/4″
- Reduces larger brush piles into manageable wood chips
- Handles bigger branch cleanup than the WC375 or WC475
- Helps reduce trimming and prep work on awkward branches
- Tows around the property with a lawn/garden tractor, ATV, or UTV
- Can be upgraded with an optional Highway Tow Kit or High Discharge Kit
Why the WC575E is Different
- Largest Homeowner Chipping Capacity
The WC575E is the largest-capacity wood chipper in the Mighty Mac homeowner line, with a 5-3/4″ branch capacity. - Better for Crooked and Forked Branches
The larger opening gives you more room for awkward material, including V-shaped limbs, crooked branches, and larger tree trimmings that may require extra cutting before feeding into a smaller chipper. - Electric Start Convenience
The WC575E includes electric start, making startup easier than a recoil-only machine. - Heavy Flywheel + Tool Steel Knife
A 20″ diameter, 73 lb flywheel and D2 heat-treated tool steel chipping knife help process branches consistently and efficiently. - Yard Tow Standard
The WC575E is designed to be towed around your property with a lawn/garden tractor, ATV, or UTV. - Optional Highway Tow Kit
The optional Highway Tow Kit adds highway-compatible tires, axle, and tow tongue for road travel behind a vehicle with a 2″ hitch ball. - Optional High Discharge Kit
The optional High Discharge Kit helps throw chips into a truck bed, trailer, or cart. It pivots 180° and has 11 locking positions for flexible chip placement. - Built in Pennsylvania
Built for long-term durability, serviceability, and parts support.

What it Handles
The WC575E is designed for branch-focused cleanup. It is a dedicated wood chipper, not a shredder-chipper, so it performs best with branches, limbs, brush, and woody material.
Larger Branches and Woody Material
- Branches up to 5-3/4″ diameter
- Larger pruning debris and limb cleanup
- Storm-damaged branches
- Brush and woody trimmings
- Crooked, forked, and V-shaped limbs that are harder to prep for smaller machines
The larger capacity is especially helpful when cleaning up older trees or irregular branch shapes. You still need to feed material safely and stay within the machine’s rated capacity, but the WC575E gives you more room and capability than the smaller homeowner wood chippers.
Larger Property Cleanup
- Wooded lot cleanup
- Larger residential properties
- Acreage and rural property maintenance
- Seasonal storm cleanup
- Cleanup around fence lines, driveways, trails, and tree lines
The WC575E is a good fit when your cleanup is still homeowner or property-owner work, but the branches and piles are larger than what you would want to handle with a smaller chipper.
What It’s Not Designed For
- Leaves, pine needles, and bulk yard debris
- Vines, garden waste, and soft organic material
- Rocks, metal, dirt, or non-organic debris
- Large logs or material beyond rated capacity
- Daily commercial production use
- Commercial crew-style work where multiple people are feeding one machine continuously for long stretches
Having a helper or two during property cleanup is fine. The distinction is that the WC575E is a homeowner property-maintenance chipper, not a commercial production machine.
If your cleanup includes leaves, garden debris, and mixed material, a shredder-chipper is usually the better fit.
WC575E vs WC475 Comparison
Choosing between the WC575E and WC475 comes down to how much material you chip, how often you use the machine, and whether you want compact maneuverability or more capacity.
Key Differences at a Glance
The WC475 is a strong homeowner wood chipper for regular branch-focused cleanup. The WC575E steps up to the largest homeowner chipper in the Mighty Mac line, with more capacity for larger branches, crooked limbs, and heavier cleanup piles.
- WC475: better if you want a capable homeowner chipper in a smaller, easier-to-store package.
- WC575E: better if you want the largest homeowner chipper, more branch capacity, electric start, and more room for awkward material.
- WC475: a good fit for routine branch cleanup, pruning, storm cleanup, and property maintenance.
- WC575E: a better fit for larger properties, older trees, bigger branch piles, and limbs that require more capacity.
- WC475: easier to store and move in tighter spaces.
- WC575E: larger and heavier, but gives you more chipping capacity.
Choose the WC575E if:
- You want the largest-capacity homeowner wood chipper
- You have larger branches or older trees on your property
- You deal with crooked, forked, or V-shaped limbs
- You want to reduce trimming and prep work before feeding
- You want electric start
- You have enough storage and access space for the larger machine
- You want yard-tow mobility with optional highway tow capability
The WC575E is the better fit when the WC475 feels a little too small for the material you expect to handle.
Choose the WC475 if:
- You mainly chip smaller to mid-size branches
- Storage space is limited
- You need to move the machine through tighter areas
- You want a smaller and lower-cost homeowner wood chipper
- You do not need the 5-3/4″ capacity of the WC575E
The WC475 is the better fit when you want serious homeowner chipping capacity in a smaller machine.
Still Not Sure?
For most regular branch-focused homeowner cleanup, the WC475 is a strong choice. Step up to the WC575E when you want more capacity, more room for awkward branches, electric start, and the largest homeowner wood chipper in the Mighty Mac lineup.
