Description

Overview

Commercial Hydraulic Drilling Power in a One-Person Auger

The Easy Auger® is built for crews that drill repeated holes and need more control than a handheld auger can provide. It is a strong fit for rental fleets, fence contractors, landscapers, farms, builders, and other commercial users.

With a two-person auger, the operators have to fight the bit when it catches or meets harder ground. The Easy Auger uses a counterbalanced frame so the wheels help anchor the machine to the ground and counteract bit torque. Instead of absorbing that force by hand, one operator controls the auger from the handle.

A Honda GX270 engine powers the hydraulic forward/reverse auger drive. The two-stage hydraulic system provides steady drilling power in normal soil and increases torque up to 350 ft-lb when ground resistance increases.

Both models deliver the same drilling performance and accept 2″–18″ auger bits. Choose the Standard Model when the machine will usually be moved between holes by hand or with a tow vehicle. Choose the Self-Propelled Model when powered forward and reverse movement will make repositioning easier on fence lines, hills, uneven jobsites, or closely spaced holes.

Best For

  • Fence installation
  • Deck and footing work
  • Pole barns and anchors
  • Tree and planting projects
  • Rental fleets
  • Farms and contractors
Drilled Auger Hole

What It Does

  • Drills post holes, footing holes, planting holes, anchor holes, and other repeated holes
  • Uses hydraulic forward and reverse auger drive for controlled drilling and bit removal
  • Accepts 2″–18″ auger bits with adapters available for several common bit systems
  • Provides variable auger speed up to 150 RPM
  • Delivers up to 350 ft-lb of digging torque when ground resistance increases
  • Tows locally between jobsites with included tow bar, 2″ coupler, safety chains, and highway-rated tires

The Easy Auger® gives one operator hydraulic control, high torque, and jobsite mobility for repeated drilling work.

Why the Easy Auger® Is Different

  • One-Person Hydraulic Control
Many augers rely on the operators to control the bit by hand. The Easy Auger® uses a counterbalanced frame and hydraulic auger drive so one operator can control drilling from the handle.
  • Counterbalanced Frame
The machine’s frame helps transfer digging force through the wheels and into the ground. This helps counteract bit torque instead of forcing the operator to absorb it by hand.
  • Up to 350 ft-lb of Digging Torque
The two-stage hydraulic system provides steady drilling power in normal soil and increases torque when ground resistance increases. That gives the Easy Auger the power needed for demanding post hole, footing, planting, and anchor work.
  • Forward and Reverse Auger Drive
Hydraulic forward and reverse control helps start holes, clear the bit, and back out when the auger meets resistance.
  • Road-Towable Jobsite Mobility
The Easy Auger is built for local transport between jobsites, with an included tow bar, 2″ coupler, safety chains, and highway-rated tires.
  • Available Self-Propelled Drive
The Self-Propelled Model adds powered forward and reverse wheel drive for moving between holes, along fence lines, across uneven ground, or around jobsites where frequent repositioning matters.
  • Works with Multiple Bit Setups
The Easy Auger accepts 2″–18″ auger bits, with adapters available for several common bit systems. That makes it a practical choice for contractors, farms, and rental fleets that already own auger bits.

Easy Auger EA93 in action

The Easy Auger® combines hydraulic drilling power, one-person control, and local jobsite mobility in a commercial post hole auger built for repeated hole drilling.

What it Handles

Built for Repeated Hole Drilling

The Easy Auger® is designed for jobs where repeated holes, consistent control, and jobsite mobility matter.

  • Fence Posts and Long Fence Lines
Drill repeated post holes for farm fence, privacy fence, rail fence, and other fencing projects.
  • Decks, Footings, and Light Construction
Drill footing holes, pier holes, and other construction-related holes where hydraulic control and high torque are needed.
  • Tree, Shrub, and Landscape Planting
Drill planting holes for trees, shrubs, landscape beds, and nursery work.
  • Farms, Pole Buildings, and Anchors
Drill holes for farm projects, pole buildings, sign posts, mailbox posts, and ground anchors.
  • Rental Fleets and Contractor Crews
Provide a commercial one-person auger option for users who need more control than a handheld or two-person auger.
  • Soil Sampling and Testing
Use compatible bits for soil sampling, test holes, and other ground-drilling work where the right bit setup is required.

The Easy Auger is designed for soil drilling and can handle tough, rocky soil with the right bit setup. It is not intended to drill through solid rock, bedrock, large boulders, roots, buried debris, utilities, or other underground obstructions.

Auger Comparison

Same Drilling Power. Different Jobsite Movement.

Both Easy Auger® models use the same Honda GX270 engine, hydraulic auger drive, two-stage pump, digging torque, and 2″–18″ bit capability. The decision comes down to how the machine will be moved between holes.

Standard Model – EA93H Self-Propelled Model – EA93HSPT
Best Choice When The machine will usually be moved by hand, towed between hole locations, or used on jobs with fewer moves between holes. The operator needs powered movement between holes, especially on fence lines, hills, uneven ground, or closely spaced layouts.
Jobsite Movement Manual positioning or tow-vehicle repositioning. Powered forward and reverse wheel drive controlled from the operator position.
Drilling Performance Same drilling performance as the Self-Propelled Model. Same drilling performance as the Standard Model.
Added Benefit Lower-cost machine with the same hydraulic drilling power. Easier repositioning when frequent movement would slow the job down.

Still Not Sure?

Choose the Standard Model when drilling power is the priority and repositioning is manageable. Choose the Self-Propelled Model when movement between holes is part of the work.
